2 Killed in Dump Truck-Bus Crash on Pleasure Island in Port Arthur

Two Killed in Port Arthur Two-Vehicle Crash on Pleasure Island at Causeway Bridge

Port Arthur, Texas (July 19, 2021) – Two people were killed Monday morning after a dump truck and a bus collided in Port Arthur, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 7:15 a.m., at the foot of the Causeway Bridge/Texas 82, in the 4000 block of South Martin Luther King Boulevard on Pleasure Island.

Police said a dump truck and a bus collided, for unknown reasons, on the roadway.

Two people were killed in the crash. Their identities have not been released.

The crash closed Texas 82 at the Causeway Bridge.

Alternate routes should be taken to and from Cameron Parish, Louisiana.

The Criminal Investigations Division of the Port Arthur Police Department is investigating the crash.
