33-Year-Old Woman Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Sam Houston Parkway

Houston, Texas (March 31, 2021) – According to the police, the 33-year-old woman who was critically injured last week Monday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Houston has died. 

The accident happened around 12:25 a.m., March 22, in the 10000 block of West Sam Houston Parkway South service road at Bissonnet.

According to witnesses, the woman was crossing the service road, outside of a crosswalk, and was running toward a group of people in a parking lot of a restaurant at Bissonnet when she was struck by a dark-colored Chevrolet SUV.

The SUV, possibly a PT Cruiser or HHR, fled the scene after the accident.

The woman was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition, where she died on Friday, March 26. Her name has not been released.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information about the hit-and-run driver is asked to call the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4072 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
