2 Killed in DWI Crash on Loop 340 in Robinson

Two Killed in Robinson Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 340 near 12th Street

Robinson, Texas (September 26, 2022) – Two people were killed Sunday evening in a crash involving an intoxicated driver in Robinson, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened on September 25, in the 3400 block of Loop 340 near West 12th street.

Police said an intoxicated man attempted to merge onto the loop and hit a Chevy Suburban that was pulling a 20-foot trailer.

The impact caused the Chevy to flip over.

All three occupants in the Suburban were ejected. The driver was partially ejected.

A woman in her 60s was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The Suburban driver was taken to the hospital, where they later died. Their identity has not been released.

The third victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The intoxicated driver was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The police are investigating the crash.
