Two Killed in Houston Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-10 East Freeway

Houston, Texas (May 31, 2021) – Two people were killed, and four others were injured early Sunday morning in a fiery high-speed crash in East Houston, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 2:00 a.m., May 30, on the Interstate 10 East Freeway.

Authorities said a Houston police officer saw a Dodge Challenger Hellcat that was speeding eastbound on the freeway. The officer pursued the Dodge, and by the time they caught up with it, the Dodge had already crashed into at least two other vehicles.

The impact caused one of the vehicles, which had three people inside, to catch fire. Two of those people were killed in the crash.

Four other people were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of them had serious burns.

The Dodge driver was questioned at the scene by the police.

The crash closed all eastbound lanes of the freeway.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
