2 Killed in Motorcycle Crash on ESE Loop 323 at New Copeland Road in Tyler

Two Killed in Tyler Motorcycle Crash on ESE Loop 323 at New Copeland Road

Tyler, Texas (November 17, 2020) – Two people were killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon in Tyler, according to police.

The fatal crash happened around 4:00 p.m., November 14, at the intersection of ESE Loop 323 and New Copeland Road.

Police said a minivan was traveling eastbound on ESE Loop 323 and was turning northbound on New Copeland Road on a blinking yellow light.

A motorcycle was traveling westbound on ESE Loop 323 with a green light.

The minivan failed to yield the right of way and turned in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then struck the van.

The two people in the motorcycle were pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
