Two Teenagers Injured in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Roosevelt Avenue and E. White Avenue

San Antonio, Texas (January 13, 2023) – Two teenagers were injured Thursday evening in a pedestrian accident in San Antonio, according to the police.

The accident happened just before 6:30 p.m., January 12, on Roosevelt Avenue and E. White Avenue.

Police said two teens, ages between 13 and 18, were selling candies in the neighborhood when their mother arrived across the street to pick them up. They ran across the road to their mother’s car and were struck by a pickup truck.

They were not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident.

Both teens were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of them was in critical condition, while the other had non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
