2-Year-Old Killed in Hit-and-Run on Ranchester Drive in Houston

2-Year-Old Boy Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Ranchester Drive near Bellaire Boulevard

Houston, Texas (May 8, 2023) – A 2-year-old boy was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run accident in west Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 7:30 p.m., May 7, on Ranchester Drive near Bellaire Boulevard and South Gessner Road.

Police said the boy was playing in a parking lot of an apartment complex when he was struck by a car that was backing up.

The car fled the scene, but the driver was found and taken into custody.

The boy was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The police are investigating the crash.
