Three Killed in Harris County Car Crash at Highway 249 and Hollister Road
Harris County, Texas (March 16, 2019) – Three people were killed early Saturday morning in a wrong-way crash at a Harris County intersection, according to the deputies.
The fatal crash happened just after 2:00 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 249 and Hollister Road.
Deputies said a white Chevy four-door vehicle was traveling the wrong way on Highway 249 when it crashed into the passenger side of a maroon colored four-door vehicle.
The maroon vehicle had two passengers inside at the time of the crash.
Two people were declared dead at the scene. The wrong-way driver was taken to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The victims’ identities were not immediately disclosed.
Deputies said impairment was a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
