Paulino Vincente Killed in Anderson County Two-Vehicle Crash at US 79 and CR 370

Anderson County, Texas (August 29, 2022) – According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash about 4.5 miles north of Palestine in Anderson County.

The fatal crash happened around 5:32 a.m., August 25, at the intersection of US 79 and CR 370.

DPS said a 2013 Chevrolet Impala was traveling northbound on US 79 while a 1996 Geo Prizm was stopped at a stop sign.

The Prizm entered US 79 from CR 370 and was hit on the left side by the Impala.

81-year-old Paulino Herrera Vincente from Palestine was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Impala driver was taken to Palestine Regional Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
