3 Injured after Police Chase Ends in Crash on Highway 155 in Tyler

Three People Injured in Tyler Crash on Highway 155 at Walton Road

Tyler, Texas (April 18, 2022) – Three people were hospitalized after a police chase ended in a traffic collision Sunday night in Tyler, according to the Tyler Police Department.

The pursuit began at about 10:00 p.m. on April 17 when an officer tried to stop a vehicle on Front Street. The driver was allegedly intoxicated, police said.

The suspect took off onto Palace Street and continued onto Highway 155. The suspect then slammed into another vehicle at the Walton Road intersection.

The suspect driver and his female passenger were transported to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The driver of the vehicle that was hit was hospitalized in unknown condition.

No further details about the crash were immediately available.

The accident remains under investigation.
