3 Injured in Head-On Crash on Oltorf Street in Central Austin

Three Injured in Central Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on Oltorf Street near Alta Vista Avenue

Austin, Texas (March 1, 2021) – Three people were injured early Monday morning in a head-on collision in Central Austin, according to police.

The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. on E. Oltorf Street, just east of Alta Vista Avenue.

Police said a vehicle was traveling eastbound on the street when it tried to pass another vehicle and entered into the westbound lanes, where it crashed head-on into another vehicle.

One person was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical life-threatening injuries. Two other people were also taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
