3 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 83 in Zapata County

Zapata County, Texas – Three people were injured last Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash in Zapata County, according to the Zapata County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened on April 24, on Highway 83 at Arroyo Tigre Chiquito.

Deputies said a red pickup truck with multiple loads of fruits and vegetables lost control and crashed into an 18-wheeler.

A woman, a child, and a baby in the pickup were taken to a Laredo hospital in stable condition.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
