Three Killed in Collin County Multi-Vehicle Crash on SH 121 near CR 1002

Collin County, Texas (December 15, 2020) – Three people were killed Sunday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash in far northeast Collin County, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened around 2:10 p.m., December 13, on State Highway 121, near County Road 1002.

DPS said a vehicle was heading northbound on the highway when it crossed over into the southbound lanes, side-swiped one vehicle, and struck another vehicle.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 65-year-old man from Durant, Oklahoma, was killed in the crash. A passenger in the vehicle, a 70-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 17-year-old male passenger was taken to a McKinney hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

All three victims were relatives.

The crash remains under investigation.
