41-Year-Old Man Fatally Hit by Train near 1st Street and Pioneer Drive in Abilene

41-Year-Old Man Killed in Abilene Train-Pedestrian Accident near N. 1st Street and Pioneer Drive

Abilene, Texas (March 30, 2022) – A 41-year-old man was fatally hit by a train Tuesday morning in central Abilene, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 11:00 a.m., March 29, near the intersection of N. 1st Street and Pioneer Drive, behind the Boy Scouts of America building.

Police said the man was on the train tracks when he was struck by a train.

The conductor called 9-1-1 and said he had hit someone. The man’s body was found by a creek in that area. His name has not been released.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
