5 Injured After Wrong-Way Driver Crashes into METRO Bus on Memorial and Shepherd in Houston

Five Injured in Houston Wrong-Way Crash Involving METRO Bus on Memorial and Shepherd

Houston, Texas (October 31, 2023) – Five people were injured Tuesday morning after a wrong-way driver crashed into a Metro Bus in Houston near Buffalo Bayou, according to the authorities.

The crash happened around 5:00 a.m., in the 4600 block of Memorial and Shepherd near Rice Military.

Authorities said a Jeep was traveling the wrong way when it crashed into a METRO bus operated by Transdev- a contracted employee with the city’s public transit.

The driver and the passenger of the Jeep and the driver of the METRO bus, along with two passengers, were all transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment.

No other details regarding the crash were available.

The crash remains under investigation.
