51-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Crash on Main Street (U.S. Highway 90)

Houston, Texas (January 9, 2022) – A 51-year-old man was killed Monday night in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 8:10 p.m., January 3, in the 13900 block of Main Street (U.S. Highway 90).

Police said the man crossed the eastbound lanes, outside of a crosswalk, went over the center concrete median, and continued to attempt to cross the westbound lanes. He was then struck by a westbound gray Honda Civic.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The Honda driver, a 30-year-old man, stopped after the accident and cooperated with the investigators. He was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
