William Haisler Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash at E. Gentry Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Tyler

William Haisler ID’d as Man Killed in Tyler Pedestrian Accident at E Gentry Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard

Tyler, Texas (September 6, 2023) – Authorities have identified the man who died following a Saturday night hit-and-run crash in Tyler as William Eric Haisler, 37, of Tyler.

The deadly crash happened at about 11:15 p.m. on September 2 at the intersection of E. Gentry Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Authorities said Haisler was found lying in the roadway. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver did not stop to render aid to Haisler and fled the scene. The vehicle involved was described as a dark-colored sedan.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information or who witnessed the crash is asked to call Tyler police.
