6 Students, School Bus Driver Injured in Crash on FM 17 in Van Zandt County

Six Alba-Golden ISD Students and Driver Injured in Van Zandt County School Bus Crash on FM 17

Van Zandt County, Texas (February 11, 2023) – Six Alba-Golden ISD students and their bus driver were injured Saturday morning in a head-on collision in Van Zandt County, according to the authorities.

The crash happened on Farm-to-Market Road 17, close to the Van Zandt County line, which runs between Grand Saline and Canton.

Authorities said the school bus was taking students to a UIL competition when it was involved in a head-on collision with a car.

Six students and the bus driver were taken to the hospital for treatment.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
