62-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on North Freeway (Interstate 45) at Parker Road

Houston, Texas (September 3, 2021) – One person was killed Thursday morning in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 9:35 a.m., September 2, in the 6400 block of North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45 East) service road at the intersection of Parker Road.

Police said a black Jeep Wrangler was traveling northbound on the service road when it struck an eastbound red Ford Fusion at the intersection.

The impact caused the Fusion to travel northeast through the intersection where it struck a 62-year-old man who was standing in the grassy center median.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

Both drivers remained at the scene and were not intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The police are investigating the crash.
