Blaine Boaz Seriously Injured in Midland Pedestrian Accident on Andrews Highway near Idlewilde Drive

Midland, Texas (June 4, 2021) – According to the police, a Midland boy was seriously injured Wednesday night in a hit-and-run crash in Midland.

The accident was reported around 8:35 p.m., June 2, in the 5000 block of Andrews Highway near Idlewilde Drive.

Police said Blaine Boaz was attempting to walk across the highway when he was struck by an eastbound truck.

The truck fled the scene after the accident.

Boaz was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. 

The authorities are looking for the suspect. The truck was last seen heading southbound on Midland Drive and was described as an older model white Ford F-150 with a white headache rack and a toolbox in the truck bed.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information regarding the accident is asked to call Midland Crime Stoppers at 432-694-TIPS.
