Christopher Sims Killed in Car Crash on Highway 6 near Hempstead

Christopher Sims Killed in Hempstead Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 6 

Hempstead, Texas (May 19, 2021) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash last week Wednesday near Hempstead, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on May 12, on Highway 6.

DPS said a truck was slowing due to congestion on the roadway when it was rear-ended by a 2014 Honda Accord driven by Christopher Sims, 25, of Dallas.

The impact ejected Sims from his car. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Sims was killed in the crash.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
