76-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Lawndale

Houston, Texas (April 8, 2020) – A 76-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian accident Saturday afternoon in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The deadly accident took place at about 12:45 p.m. on April 4, at 7000 Lawndale.

Police said the man was crossing northbound on the street, outside of a crosswalk, when he was struck by a black Kia Optima in an eastbound lane.

The victim was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

The police are investigating the crash.
