Several Hurt in Central Austin Crash on 46th Street and N. Lamar

Austin, Texas (July 20, 2019) – Several people were injured when multiple vehicles collided on Friday afternoon in Central Austin, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The wreck happened at about 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 19, on 46th Street and N. Lamar.

The medics said three vehicles were involved in the crash.

Eight people were taken to area hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.

The crash caused a closure of northbound Lamar temporarily as the scene was examined and cleared.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
