1 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash at Highway 36 and Airport Boulevard in Abilene

One Hospitalized after Abilene Crash at Highway 36 and Airport Boulevard

Abilene, Texas (June 23, 2022) – One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night at an intersection in Abilene, according to the Abilene Police.

The wreck happened at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at the intersection of Highway 36 and Airport Boulevard. The area is near Abilene Regional Airport.

Police said two vehicles collided at the Abilene intersection under unclear circumstances. One person was briefly trapped inside their vehicle and was able to exit the car.

One patient was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. It was not immediately clear if the victim was the person who was trapped.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
