Adrian Gainus Killed in Gainesville Two-Vehicle Crash on I-35 near U.S. Highway 82

Gainesville, Texas (April 4, 2021) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Gainesville, according to the Texas Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash happened around 2:12 p.m., April 2, on northbound Interstate 35 near the U.S. Highway 82 Bridge.

Authorities said a Toyota passenger vehicle was traveling on the northbound service road when the driver lost control, struck a curb, went across both lanes of the service road, went backward, and slid down an embankment. The Toyota then went across the interstate, hit a concrete barrier, and went back into the main lanes of the interstate, where it was struck by a motorhome.

The Toyota driver, Adrian Gainus, 35, of Dallas, was killed in the crash.

The crash closed the interstate for more than four hours.

The authorities are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
