3 Injured in 2-Vehicle Accident near 27th Street and Avenue Q in Lubbock

Three Hurt in Lubbock Crash on 27th Street and Avenue Q

Lubbock, Texas (June 30, 2019) – Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Saturday afternoon in Lubbock.

According to the Lubbock police, the wreck happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, near 27th Street and Avenue Q.

Police said a 2000 GMC pickup truck was heading north on Avenue Q when it collided with a 1983 Chevrolet pickup truck traveling eastbound on 27th Street.

The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to a Lubbock hospital with life-threatening injuries. A passenger in his vehicle was also taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

The GMC driver was hospitalized with minor-to-moderate injuries.

The Lubbock police are investigating the cause of the crash.
