Alan Villeda ID’d as Toddler Killed in Houston Pedestrian Crash at Tierwester Street and Dixie Drive

Houston, Texas (August 16, 2019) – The boy who was struck and killed by a vehicle at an apartment complex parking lot in southeast Houston on Wednesday afternoon has been identified as 18-month-old Alan Villeda, according to a local news source.

The incident was reported at about 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, at an apartment complex on Tierwester Street and Dixie Drive.

Police said Villeda was walking behind his mother through the parking lot when a car backed out and ran him over.

Villeda died in the accident.

The involved driver reportedly left the scene but was later contacted by the police and returned to the scene.

Villeda’s mother, identified as Gissel Vasquez, 18, was charged with endangering a child due to the crash.

The Houston Police Department is investigating the incident.
