Alexander Coloni Killed in 18-Wheeler Crash on I-20 in Odessa

22-Year-Old Alexander Coloni Killed in Odessa 18-Wheeler Crash on I-20 at Grant

Odessa, Texas (April 27, 2020) – One person was killed early Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in South Odessa, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 2:00 a.m. April 26, at Interstate 20 and Grant.

According to investigators, Daniel Farias, 47, of El Paso, was driving an 18-wheeler eastbound on I-20 while Alexander Coloni, 22, of Odessa, was driving a Dodge Ram westbound in the eastbound lanes, with no lights on.

Coloni then crashed head-on into the 18-wheeler.

Coloni was declared dead at the scene.

The Dodge had been reported stolen out of Ector County.

The crash remains under investigation.
