Alma Gloria Wilson Killed in Brewster County Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 67

Brewster County, Texas (December 29, 2020) – Three people were killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Brewster County, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 10:48 a.m., December 28, on U.S. Highway 67, two miles east of Alpine.

According to a preliminary investigation, a Cadillac SRX-SUV driven by Alma Gloria Wilson, 54, of Odessa, was traveling westbound when it attempted to pass another vehicle, in a no-passing zone, and crashed into an eastbound Ford F-150 pickup.

Wilson was killed in the crash.

The driver and passenger of the pickup, Roberto Taveraz-Roman, 79, of Big Lake and Ludivina Tavarez, 72, of Big Lake, were also killed in the crash.

A passenger in the Cadillac was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

All the involved people were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
