Armando Casares Killed in South Austin Pedestrian Accident at W. William Cannon Drive and Woodhue Drive

Austin, Texas (November 20, 2019) – The man who was killed earlier this month in a pedestrian accident in South Austin has been identified as 34-year-old Armando Casares, according to the police.

The accident occurred around 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, in the area of W. William Cannon Drive and Woodhue Drive.

Police said Casares was attempting to cross mid-block over six lanes of traffic when he was hit by a white Lexus was which was traveling eastbound in the middle lane of William Cannon. He was not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident.

Casares was taken to St. David’s South Austin Hospital, where he died on November 13th.

An investigation is underway.
