Andres Galvan, Michelle Pearson Killed in Head-On Crash on SH 335 near Amarillo

Andres Galvan and Michelle Pearson Killed in Amarillo Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 335

Amarillo, Texas (May 9, 2023) – According to the Texas DPS, two people were killed Friday night in a head-on collision one mile south of Amarillo.

The fatal crash happened around 11:45 p.m., May 5, on State Highway 335.

DPS said 27-year-old Andres Galvan of Sunland Park, New Mexico, was driving northbound on the highway while 48-year-old Michelle Pearson of Amarillo was driving southbound.

Galvan veered into the southbound lane and struck Pearson’s vehicle head-on.

Both Galvan and Pearson were pronounced dead at the scene.

Galvan was wearing a seatbelt, while Pearson was not.

The Texas Highway Patrol Troopers are investigating the crash.
