Connor Avery Hughes Killed in East Austin Pedestrian Accident on Airport Boulevard

Austin, Texas (January 21, 2021) – The man who was killed in a pedestrian accident last week in East Austin has been identified as 21-year-old Connor Avery Hughes, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 9:21 p.m., January 9, in the 4000 block of Airport Boulevard.

Police said Hughes was attempting to cross the roadway midblock when he was struck by a northbound blue 2012 Chevrolet Cruze.

Hughes was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas, where he died on January 11.

The Chevrolet driver remained at the scene and was not impaired. Speed was not a factor in the crash.
