Spicewood Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash at Texas 71 and CR 401 in Burnet County

46-Year-Old Woman Killed in Burnet County Two-Vehicle Crash at Texas 71 and CR 401

Burnet County, Texas (June 10, 2020) – According to a local news source, a 46-year-old Spicewood woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in southern Burnet County.

The fatal crash happened at about noon, June 9, at the intersection of Texas 71 and County Road 401.

DPS said the woman was stopped in her Ford Fusion on County Road 401 facing southbound while a 2017 Dodge pickup truck was traveling westbound on Texas 71, approaching the intersection.

The woman pulled into the intersection, failed to yield the right of way, and the Ford was struck by the Dodge.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
