Andujo Gonzalez ID’d as Man Killed in Hudspeth County Two-Vehicle Crash on US 62/180

Hudspeth County, Texas (August 12, 2019) – The victim killed in a head-on collision Saturday morning in Hudspeth County has been identified as Andujo Gonzalez, 29, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 5:45 a.m. Saturday, August 10, on US 62/180, at milepost 77, east of the Border Patrol checkpoint and west of FM 1111.

DPS said Gonzalez was driving a Honda Accord westbound on 62/180 when he drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Ford F-150 pickup towing another vehicle.

Gonzalez was killed in the crash. Two people in the Ford pickup sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to a hospital.

The crash closed both lanes of US 62/180.

The crash remains under investigation.
