Anstacio Mendoza and 68-Year-Old Woman Injured in Wichita Falls Two-Vehicle Crash on Seymour Highway at Loop 11

Wichita Falls, Texas (March 17, 2023) – Two people were injured on Thursday in a DWI crash in Wichita Falls, according to the police.

The crash happened on March 16, at the intersection of Seymour Highway, Loop 11, and Beverly Drive.

Police said Anstacio Mendoza, 37, was driving a truck westbound on Seymour Highway when he ran a red light at high speed and hit a car, which was turning left from eastbound Seymour Highway onto Loop 11.

Mendoza was taken to United Regional, where he was treated, and after being released, he was taken to the Wichita County jail. He has been charged with Intoxication Assault.

The car driver, a 68-year-old woman, was taken to URHCS with life-threatening injuries and was later taken to another hospital outside of Wichita Falls.

The crash remains under investigation.
