Construction Worker Injured in Dallas Hit-and-Run Accident on West Northwest Highway

Dallas, Texas (August 10, 2019) – A construction worker was hit by a car early Friday morning in Dallas, according to a police report.

The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. August 9, on West Northwest Highway near Timberline Drive.

As per the report, the construction worker was operating machinery in two lanes of the highway, which were closed for construction, when they were hit by a vehicle.

The driver of the involved vehicle fled the scene after the accident and was chased down and stopped by another worker.

Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the injured victim.

Officers said the driver was under the influence at the time of the accident.

An investigation is underway.
