Arcadio Hernandez Jr. Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 62 near Idalou

Arcadio Hernandez Jr. Injured in Idalou Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 62

Idalou, Texas (September 18, 2019) – One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning near Idalou, according to Texas Department of Public Safety officials.

The crash was reported around 4:00 a.m. on U.S. Highway 62.

According to the DPS, Arcadio Hernandez Jr., 42, of Lorenzo, was driving a 2012 Ford pickup truck westbound on the highway when he crossed the median into the eastbound lane and collided with a 1988 Peterbuilt semi-trailer.

Hernandez was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

The semi driver was uninjured in the crash.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The crash closed parts of U.S. Highway 62.

The crash remains under investigation.
