At Least 1 Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on SH 64 in Smith County

At Least One Killed in Smith County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 64 and FM 848

Smith County, Texas (April 26, 2023) – At least one person was killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Smith County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 9:00 a.m., April 25, on State Highway 64 and FM 848.

DPS said the crash involved a trash truck and an SUV.

At least one person was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

No other information was available.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
