1 Killed in Lewisville Two-Vehicle Crash on Business 121 at I-35; Marissamary Guadalupe Pecina Arrested

Lewisville, Texas (January 2, 2020) – One person was killed, and another was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash on New Year’s Day in Lewisville, according to the police.

The crash occurred around 3:45 a.m. January 1, on Business 121 at I-35.

Police said a GMC Terrain was heading northbound on Business 121 when it turned left to the I-35 service road and hit a southbound Chevy Cavalier.

The Cavalier driver, a man, was taken to the hospital and is in intensive care but is expected to survive. A woman in the car was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Marissamary Guadalupe Pecina, 25, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and is currently in the Lewisville Jail.

The crash remains under investigation.
