1 Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Ben White Boulevard in Austin

One Killed in Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on Ben White Boulevard near South Lamar Boulevard 

Austin, Texas (July 1, 2021) – According to the authorities, one person was killed Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in south Austin.

The deadly crash happened just before 4:15 p.m., June 30, in the 4600 block of West U.S. 290 Highway service road eastbound (West Ben White Boulevard) near the South Lamar Boulevard exit.

Authorities said two vehicles were involved in the wreck. One of the vehicles caught fire after the collision.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The crash closed the eastbound frontage road of 290, east of Brodie Lane.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
