12-Year-Old Victor Garcia Killed in Carrollton Pedestrian Accident on South Josey Lane
Carrollton, Texas (December 24, 2019) – A 12-year-old boy was hit and killed by a van Monday afternoon in Carrollton, according to the police.
The crash happened at about 1:00 p.m. on December 23, on South Josey Lane near East Crosby Road.
Police said Victor Garcia was walking on a sidewalk with his mother and another child when a van veered out of traffic and struck him.
The van also hit the other child, a 7-year-old boy.
Garcia, who was a student at Dewitt Perry Middle School, was killed in the crash.
The other child was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to benefit the Garcia family.
An investigation is underway.
