Aundrea Sharell Powe Killed in Gregg County Pedestrian Accident on SH 31 near Kilgore

Gregg County, Texas (August 31, 2020) – According to the authorities, a woman was fatally hit by a car early Sunday morning in Gregg County, two miles outside of Kilgore.

The deadly accident occurred around 3:38 a.m., August 30, on State Highway 31.

DPS said Kelton Jayce Meshell, 21, of Flint was driving eastbound in the outside lane of the highway when they hit Aundrea Sharell Powe, 38, of Kilgore, who was walking on the roadway.

Powe was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details regarding the accident were available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
