Bicyclist Injured in Crash at University Oaks Blvd and Munson Avenue in College Station

One Seriously Injured in College Station Bicycle Accident at University Oaks Blvd and Munson Avenue

College Station, Texas (August 11, 2023) – A bicyclist was seriously injured Thursday evening in a crash in College Station, according to the police.

The accident happened around 7:00 p.m., August 10, at the intersection of University Oaks Blvd and Munson Avenue.

Police said Triston Clark, 24, of College Station, was driving a KIA sedan northbound through the intersection when he failed to stop at the posted 4-way stop sign, continued through the intersection, and struck the bicyclist who was halfway across the crosswalk.

The KIA then struck another vehicle that was traveling southbound at the intersection.

The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Clark was arrested for Texas Transportation Code Section 545.428 – Motor Vehicle Accident Involving Pedestrian or Other Vulnerable Road User Within Area of Crosswalk; Offense.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
