Benjamin Lee Injured in Jasper County Pedestrian Accident on US 96

Jasper County, Texas (October 24, 202) – A man was hit and injured by a truck Saturday afternoon in Jasper County, according to the DPS.

The accident happened around 3:55 p.m., October 22, on U.S. Highway 96.

DPS said Benjamin Lee, 23, from Jasper, entered the roadway and was struck by a southbound 2020 Chevrolet box truck.

Lee was taken to a Houston hospital for treatment.

The Chevrolet driver, Miguel Rojas, 27, from Groves, was uninjured in the crash.

No other information was available.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
