Bethany Michaud, Todd Weldon Hurt in Fatal Waskom Traffic Accident on I-20
Waskom, Texas (June 15, 2019) – Two people were injured in a fatal collision that left a Louisiana woman dead on Thursday evening near Waskom in Harrison County, according to the authorities.
The wreck occurred at about 6:00 p.m. June 13, on I-20.
Police said Todd Weldon, 53, of Kingston, Oklahoma, was driving an 18-wheeler at a higher rate of speed westbound on I-20 when he slammed into a Cadillac. The Cadillac was pushed into a Hyundai which in turn struck a trailer towed by a truck.
The driver of the Cadillac was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Weldon and the driver of the Hyundai, Bethany Michaud, 33, of Shreveport, Louisiana, were both taken to hospital in stable condition.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash is under investigation.
