Bicyclist Hit and Injured on I-35 Access at Spur Street in New Braunfels
64-Year-Old Man Injured in New Braunfels Bicycle Crash on I-35 Access at Spur Street
New Braunfels, Texas (June 20, 2019) – A bicyclist was struck and injured by a vehicle on Wednesday afternoon in New Braunfels, according to the New Braunfels Police Department.
The wreck took place before 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, on the I-35 Access at Spur Street.
Police said a 64-year-old New Braunfels man was riding a bicycle the wrong way when he was hit by a four-door Nissan Rogue.
The victim was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Nissan was unhurt.
Police said speed was unlikely a factor and noted that the driver was traveling at or below the set limit.
The crash is under investigation.
