Woman Killed in Lubbock Bicycle Crash at Avenue Q and 26th Street

Lubbock, Texas (May 16, 2019) – A woman and her dog were fatally hit by a driver who fled the scene after the incident on Tuesday night in Lubbock, according to police.
The crash occurred just after 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, in the area of Avenue Q and 26th Street.
Police said a woman walking her dog was struck by a vehicle.
The woman and her dog died in the collision.
The vehicle involved, whose description was not immediately available, is being sought by the police.
