Ceasar Rendon Seriously Injured in Nolan County Collision on FM 608 near Roscoe

Nolan County, Texas (July 7, 2022) – Ceasar J. Rendon, 36, of Roscoe, was seriously injured after being involved in a deadly crash on Independence Day in Nolan County.

The fatal crash happened at about 10:00 p.m. Monday, July 4, on FM 608, approximately 1.82 miles south of Roscoe.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Ceasar Rendon was driving a 2007 Cadillac Escalade northbound on FM 608 with his son Julius Rendon when the Cadillac drifted across the center median into the opposite lane, where it collided head-on with a southbound 2018 Ford Pickup.

Julius, who was an incoming third-grader at Snyder ISD, was taken to the Rolling Plains Hospital in Sweetwater, where he was declared dead. Ceasar was transported to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene in serious condition.

The driver of the Ford Pickup, Roddy M. Alexander, 42, and his passenger, Bonnie L. Jay, 36, both of Roscoe, were not injured in the crash.

Conditions in the area were clear and dry.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided. The crash remains under investigation.
