Cecilia Rodriguez Killed in Waco Two-Vehicle Crash at 18th Street and Jack Kultgen Expressway

Waco, Texas (August 16, 2022) – One person was killed and several others were injured Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Waco, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 4:41 a.m., August 13, at the intersection of the 1600 Block of South 18th street and the 1800 Block of Jack Kultgen Expressway Northbound.

Police said a Chrysler 300 was traveling eastbound on S. 18th Street when it struck a Porsche SUV that was traveling northbound on Jack Kultgen Expressway.

The SUV then struck a curb and telephone pole causing it to flip over on its hood.

Three passengers in the SUV were taken to a local hospital for treatment and one was listed in critical condition.

The condition of the SUV driver was not disclosed.

The Chrysler driver was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

One of the passengers in the Chrysler, 31-year-old Cecilia Rodriguez, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The condition of the other passenger was not disclosed.

The crash remains under investigation.
