Charles McBride and Lisa McBride Killed in Clay County Bicycle Crash on FM 2393 near Dean

Clay County, Texas (June 5, 2023) – Two people were killed Thursday afternoon in a bicycle accident in Clay County, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened on June 1, on FM 2393, near Dean.

DPS said 63-year-old Charles McBride, and 49-year-old Lisa McBride, both from Wichita Falls, were riding their bikes southbound on the highway when they were struck by a southbound pickup truck.

Charles was taken to United Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Lisa was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
